Yes. I know my last post was in 2019, but I do have some excuses. I mean, the pandemic, a couple of jobs, and just getting totally ADHD because of all the time on my hands. Not an excuse.
I’ve decided to really work on writing for the next couple of months, due mainly to Atomic Habits by David Cleary. Now – I don’t know this guy, I don’t know his life, background or anything like that – but the book has motivated me to work on writing and that should be good enough! So any good-thoughts, bad-thoughts, criticisms on the book won’t be helpful for me.
Since my last post, I’ve changed jobs, gotten certified in Terraform, failed the GCP Database Engineer exam, and visited a whole bunch of countries outside of the US. Yeah – I went totally overboard on travel for a bit. But I do want to write, and I do want to understand databases, mysql, mongodb and everything else data related.
A Couple of goals are incoming:
- Gonna re-get the GCP Database Engineer Certification
- Also getting the GCP Data Engineer Certification
- Work on getting back to programming with Kotlin on Android
- Write more.
- Use AI to get a lot of the above done.
- I guess I’ll have to change from being an uncertified database enthusiast to a certifiable database enthusiast
- Maybe write an original song or two.
